A Conversation Between Angels XI

“Hey, you’re looking rather pensive.”

“Well, I’ve been thinking about something I thought I might see here.”

“Ah, not quite living up to your expectations?”

“No, that’s not it. I just thought-well-that maybe I’d see the angels working.”

“Yeah, like a little workshop.”

“You know this is Heaven and not the North Pole?”

“Of course, and I didn’t think they’d be making toys.”

“Then what?”

“Well, you know we used to get those emails, back on Earth, where they said that an angel was watching over you and if you pass this on to 19 of your friends you’d get your wish?”

“Yeah, gotta love spam. Nigerian princes, viagra online, a portion of Bill Gates fortune.”

“So, I know it’s silly, but a part of me just wondered if there wasn’t a big room with a lot of computers and they were really written up here.”

“Ha Ha, you’ve got to be kidding?”

“I know it’s crazy, but I never sent it to the right amount of people in the right amount of time. I always wondered if I was dropping the ball.”

“And now that you’re here?”

“I realize that people’s wishes come true when they’re ready and they shouldn’t wait for an email.”
