  1. Oh wait, the 1st Amendment was written in 1791. Maybe I don’t need a right to post my views on the Internet?

    • I believe that there is amazing damage being done by both words and violence, and the post is not about taking those rights away but the individual asking themselves about the use of guns, and it applies to words as well.

  2. “[is about] the individual asking themselves about the use of guns, and it applies to words as well.”

The title of you post was: “Oh wait, the 2nd Amendment was writtenin 1791, maybe I don’t need this [picture of a gun]”

I take the implication to be that something has drastically changed since the Constitution and Bill of Rights came into being. It is true that the technology of both firearms and publishing your thoughts and opinions have changed drastically since then.

What I am certain has not changed is the desire of some men to violate the rights of others, whether it is a mugger trying to steal your wallet or a politician seeking to tax your wages for another good cause he believes you should support.

It was against the ambitions of evil men that both the 1st and 2nd Amendments were written.
